IMO, I would just look at the model that looks most like the current radar picture and go with that because some of them are clearly off. WRF is definitely too far south, it doesn’t have the precipitation reaching Llandudno at 8am and it is clearly further north of this now.

Snow has eased up a bit but everything is covered

Had some snow overnight in Irlam, slight covering on rooves, grass and cars.

0.4C in Irlam and heavy snow. Covering on all surfaces.

1.0C and even the road is getting covered with snow

2.1C and its snowing

2.7C now

3.2C Rain, sleet and large wet snowflakes at Irlam

4.3C and rainfall total now 37.2mm

Dramatic temperature after 2pm at Irlam and a gradual drop since 2.30pm, was 11.0C at around 2pm now 5.5C

The GFS 0z ensembles have some ridiculous snow amounts around here (SW Manchester) for early hours tomorrow

11 ensembles have 10cm> including the control, Oldham have 17 such ensembles

I was referring to the UKMO 12z 120 hr chart rather than Wednesday/Thursday event. 🙂

They can deliver som good snowfalls, remember this one from the last Monday before Christmas 1993
