MetO seemingly not convinced this Sunday front will get further than chester-ish….

Well, what an event that was, a good inch + here in Sale, once again excellently forecast Kasim.

Hi Kasim, has the area where this low is going to pivot become clear or is this something still uncertain?

It definitely has a feel of nowcasting about it after say 8pm… could be a few surprise modest as level accumulations around Cheshire & GM.

Incredible to see such fine margins still with this low, in what would traditionally be considered well within the ‘reliable’ forecast window. Interesting times.

MetO week ahead video forecast seem to downplay the threat of snow at modest levels later in the week in NW Eng, emphasis seemed to be very much on mainly rain showers. The BBC seemed more bullish with their take on things so will be interesting to see how Thur-Fri plays out.

Obviously a huge amount of rain due in the next 48hrs in the west facing pennines, with the ground so sodden, could this impact chances of settling snow Thursday?
